This coffee is made up of beans that have been processed with the following two methods:
This process results in a coffee that is cleaner, brighter, and fruitier. During the wet method of coffee processing, the fruit covering the seeds/beans is removed before they are dried. This method has helped to preserve the Gooseberry, Nut, grain and citrus flavours in this coffee.
This traditional method of processing coffee beans helps to add a heavier mouth feel, a level of sweetness and greater complexity. This is responsible for giving body and some sweetness to this coffee.
The Folklore blend is roasted light medium. The coffee has a medium body, medium pleasant acidity. The roasting method preserves the varietal character of the beans including:
- Gooseberry, high acidity and gamey flavours within the Ethiopian beans
- The soft balanced taste of Honduras
- The low acidity and smooth taste of Brazilian beans
- Peanut and grain taste of Vietnam beans
Mild gooseberry acidity, smooth, mellow, grain, medium body.
